Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Pixels Educational Services Limited ("we", "Bellr") respects the privacy of the schools, staff, parents and children who use Bellr. This policy explains what we collect and why. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Who is responsible for the data

Each school decides what student and parent information to enter into Bellr and is the controller of that information. We act as the school's processor: we store and handle it only to provide the service.

2. What we collect

  • School and staff: school name, address, phone and email; staff names, emails, phone numbers and roles.
  • Students: name, class, date of birth, gender, optional photo, attendance, alerts and daily-log entries.
  • Parents: name, phone number and relationship to the student.
  • Fees: fee structures, bills, payments recorded and receipts. We do not store card numbers.
  • Device information: a notification token so we can deliver messages to a phone.

3. How we use it

To run the service: showing information to the right people, sending notifications and receipts, providing support, keeping accounts secure, and sending service emails such as verification codes. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Who can see it

A school's data is kept separate from every other school's. Within a school, the proprietor sees everything, the bursar sees fees, teachers see only their own class, and a parent sees only their own children. Our staff access data only to provide support or fix problems.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Bellr: cloud hosting, email delivery, push notifications and payment processing. They handle data only on our instructions.

6. Security and retention

We protect data with access controls, encrypted connections and separated school accounts. We keep a school's data while its account exists. When a school asks us to delete it, we do so, except for records we must keep by law.

7. Children's information

Student information is provided by the school, which is responsible for having the parent's authority to share it. Children do not create Bellr accounts.

8. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold. Parents should first contact their school; schools and individuals can also contact us directly. You may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
